The Troll Peninsula in Northern Iceland holds a lifetime of ski descents. 3,000-4,000 vertical feet above the Arctic Ocean often skiing right down to the sea. This remote, mountainous location measures storms in meters. Due to the short winter daylight hours, the best season is March through May, sometimes into June. Earlier in the season holds a better chance for powder skiing and northern lights, while later in the season gives way to endless sunsets, a more stable snowpack and perfect corn runs.
